Could you be the most inspiring senior-level professional who working part-time?
Or do you know someone who is - who, in your eyes, really champions part time working, demonstrates a successful career and maintains a genuine work life balance?
Now’s your chance to nominate yourself or a colleague to the FT and Timewise list of the UK’s 50 most inspiring senior-level professionals.
More than 5m Britons work part time out of choice and Timewise and the FT are looking for the most inspiring of them - but be quick because the deadline is Monday September 22.
Timewise was founded 10 years ago by Karen Mattison and Emma Stewart after they were unable to find suitable employment that fitted with their family lives – just like Shareyourjob’s founders Astrid Clifford and Elizabeth Barnard in fact.
The goal of Timewise is to highlight businesses in which employees can succeed in juggling the other joys and demands of life while working part time. So a great place to look for a part time job aswell as job sharing.
Ms Mattison says that working part time should not compromise success. “Britain’s flexible workers need to know that there are forward thinking businesses out there that offer futures where flexibility is no inhibitor to success.
“As our working lives extend, this is becoming an ever more important issue.” It’s time to prove that ‘part time’ can mean ‘senior’, can mean ‘client-facing’ and can even mean ‘the boss’.”
