Benefits to employers
There is growing evidence that job sharing offers great benefits to employers. More than half the UK workforce already work part-time or flexibly, but very few are in roles that fully use their skills and experience. Many are bored and demotivated but don't feel able to move on within their own organisations. So they underperform or leave, and employers lose talent and incur escalating recruitment costs.
Job-sharing allows individuals to take on appropriate roles and still have the flexibility they need. Any job can be shared, with the right partner in place. Employers will benefit from talent retention, higher levels of motivation and commitment, and two skills sets for the price of one.
